Earlier this week I was planning a support column or talk for why artists should target businesses. Yesterday, unexpectedly, I had a designer purchase four paintings for a client project, proving just how impactful this can be for artists 🧑🎨
I'll keep this one short and sweet, but there are quite a few reasons that artists benefit from targeting businesses. Businesses need art. Businesses have a budget. Businesses often buy in multiples. They also often have multiple locations if you can finesse the relationship. Businesses have visibility that can lead to other relationships and business. Businesses provide an opportunity to cross promote and collaborate for marketing benefits. The closing point and how you close businesses on buying your art, is that businesses can write off art as an interior design and decor expense 💰🤑
