Refund policy
Statement directly from Me (Michael):
I believe in being reasonable because I would hope for the same, so if you have any issues, please just send me an email and let's talk about it. I'm a starving artist so I know what it's like to be in these situations. If you have an issue, you will be speaking to me directly and I will do whatever I can within my power to find a reasonable solution that is a win/win for both of us. It's that simple. I try to be fair and ethical in everything I do. That's my policy and my promise to you. This other nonsense hereafter is only here because I was told it has to be.
-Michael
ORIGINALS: Due to the fragile and sensitive nature of originals, these must be addressed on a case by case basis. In most cases, you will be responsible for transactions fees and shipping costs (both ways) on these, in the unlikely event that a return is required. I have never had an original returned in over 20 years. If you have any questions or doubts prior to making your purchase, please contact before placing the order and I will be happy to address, and show you additional photos or video of the piece to verify colors and quality as best as possible.
Forced nonsense I was told I have to have:
Cancellations:
Cancellations for error may only effectively be made within the first 24 hours, after which orders have already been batched and moved to production, limiting our ability to execute a complete cancellation successfully. After this period, though we will do our best to find a resolution, options may be more limited based on circumstances.
Returns:
Our policy lasts 30 days under most circumstances (excluding originals). If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we may not be able to offer you a refund or exchange, but please message us to let us know your case and circumstances. Please note that there are no returns, exchanges, or refunds on original paintings due to the nature of original artwork.
To be eligible for a return, your item should be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It should also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we will need a proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds (if applicable):
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable):
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at Info@MichaelCarini.com.
Sale items (if applicable):
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable):
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at Info@MichaelCarini.com and send your item to: Carini Arts, PO Box 81644, San Diego CA 92138, United States.
Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping:
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Carini Arts, PO Box 81644, San Diego CA 92138, United States.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
***There should be a valid reason for making a return such as a damaged product. If your product does arrive damaged, in most cases, it can simply be exchanged or replaced for an identical product. All products are produced on demand. In certain circumstances, upon review, some cancellations may only be refunded the difference once production and shipping & handling costs have been deducted***
Going back to the beginning, I try to be fair and ethical in everything I do so let's just talk about it and find a reasonable solution. That's my policy and my promise to you.
