Sometimes I like to work on traditional canvas. Sometimes I like to change things up. Sometimes I don't even have a choice. I don't always have a ton of resources or all the supplies I would like, but when you're an artist, the world is your canvas. Sometimes you just gotta look down for that creative inspiration, put one foot in front of the other, and take your next step. For my next step, I thought it would be fun to dip a toe in the realm of shoe art by painting a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars.
Who knows...maybe there is a shoe deal in my future. It's certainly something I've wanted to do for a long time.

With an alternative canvas like shoes, I thought it would be best to accent them with a signature stamp or feature without losing the integrity of the original design. Sometimes less is more, and I thought this was just the right touch with such a small canvas to work with. Drop them under a blacklight, and they really come to life.
